Christmas Vs. Halloween

I want to know why Christmas get 25 days and Halloween only gets 13. I am referring to the ABC specials they do each year. I get that Christmas is on the 25th and that’s where the 25 comes from. I also get that 13 is a scary number and Halloween being scary it gets assigned this number. BUT! Isn’t the Christmas song the Twelve Days of Christmas? AND! Isn’t Halloween on the 31st? So it should either be the 12 days of Christmas and the 13 days of Halloween OR the 25 days of Christmas and the 31 days of Halloween. That way there is no bias towards either holiday. I mean, it’s only fair!

Post-Halloween Holidays

Well, the holiday season has offically begun. It is November first and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Next thing you know it will be Christmas. Following that is New Years which always means new year resolutions and the sale of fat burners goes through the roof. I have decided not to do the New Years resolution thing. I have my 101 goal in 1001 days to complete and that will do just fine for me. Besides, over the last four years I have slowly lost nearly 40 pounds and kept it off. It’s slow going, but the fact that I’ve kept it off is the best part!

Halloween Fun

I just spent TOO MUCH on Halloween stuff yesterday! I bought a $60 on a 5′ cocoon man. Yes, a man wrapped in spiders webbing. I named him Billy and currently he’s hanging in my living room, however as soon as I can figure out how to hang him out on the balcony he’ll move out there.

I think I may be in love with these things. I also think I may be in trouble. They aren’t cheap, but they were on sale at Michael’s! How could I NOT get them! I think I am going to have to curb my NEED to buy Lemax Spooky Town pieces until AFTER Halloween. I can probably get them on e-bay for a lot less in the off season. This may become an obsession.

I got some other things, too. Hopefully Meaghan will be back over soon and she can take pictures for me.

I LOVE HALLOWEEN. Have I mentioned this recently? That and I really needed the retail therapy.

And Now For Something Completely Different…

My doctor put me on Celexa and I had to take myself off of it. The nausea was horrid and I was so weak I couldn’t get off the couch. After a week it was messing with my head. I was worse not better. I’m really beginning to think that antidepressants aren’t the answer for me. There are just some people who antidepressants just make them worse and I may be one of them. I’ve been off of it for two days and I actually feel like a normal person again.

I still have not made up my mind about the nerve block yet. I’m still having headaches, but I just got my perscription eyedrops refilled today after being off them for a month. I really want to try and rule out everything else before I go back and try another block with a more drastic drug.

And finally! IT IS OCTOBER! I love this month. The air is getting cool, Halloween specials are all over TV, the best decorations are in the stores, and I am feeling witchy! So I guess that means I need to update my Wicca blog, huh….ok ok, I will….
