I think I am doing better. Last weekend I had some tummy troubles, but I think that’s over with. I started working out again and have been for the last four days straight. I’ve been mixing up what I do. I had started out with pure aerobics, then added some strength training and now I do a little of everything including some yoga. Yeah, the aerobics will burn the fat faster, but I want to be more than skinny, I want to be stronger and healthy. I dropped back down to one hour from the two I was doing and then going for a half hour walk around the neighborhood. I am trying to be careful. I don’t want to end up having to go to a doctor and using a spirometers because I’ve worn out my lungs or something. I’ve got enough issues as it is. I go back for a post-op appointment on June 10th so I’ll give another update then.

I really wish all these medical issues would stop. I am really tired of having to pay little medical bills here and there. Yes, I am glad I have health insurance and that I don’t have to pay everything, but these little bills are really cutting in to my debt pay off plans. I am wondering if I need to look into a health savings account. I don’t know enough about them. I’m not a sick person and I don’t play sick for attention. Things just happen to me. First the sinus problems that started back in 2004. It was nothing major, but needed attention. Then them coming back last Fall to include nerve damage that will be with me the rest of my life. Now I’ve got these other issues. Again, nothing major, but it needs attention so it doesn’t become something major.

Now I have to decide if I want to stick with my old insurance that I am on now or go back to my employer’s insurance. Maybe I need to check out Blue Advantage before I make up my mind. I really just want the best coverage for the best price. Health insurance is such a touchy topic these days. All I care about is staying healthy and with these sinus issues I’m having now I need health insurance. I can’t wait for everything to settle back down in my life. I’m simply so tired of having to make decisions like this. Good news though! My 401k starts back with my first pay check! Which means I’ll be able to check that goal off my list soon!

Job Update: Got a call from an employment agency this morning within an hour of me applying for a position through their site. We set up a meeting for tomorrow morning. I have yet to get any real interviews, but I am familiar with this process. It’s just going to take time. It hasn’t even been two weeks.

My Health: Had the second nerve block done yesterday. My mouth still feels weird, but it will get better just like the other side did. I have an appointment to go back next week to follow up and see how the block is taking. I really hope this works. I do NOT want to go through this again. So far I think it’s doing good, can’t tell if the headache I have is from my period, stress, or the nerve damage. I suppose I’ll have to wait and see. Today I went and got my anxiety and depression meds adjusted. Since she was adjusting a script I already had she had to call and talk to the pharmacy so I am just waiting for that to be taken care of and filled. At least it’s a 24 hour pharmacy!

Colby: My kitty is eating solid food again! I’ve heard him munching away in there. Not much mind you, but at least he’s starting to get back to normal. It hasn’t been a week yet, can’t expect him to be back to himself in such a short time. Still, him eating some solid foods and jumping up on furniture are good signs he’s feeling better.

Personal Life: Well, it’s been 12 days since I promised my kids I’d spend the next year focusing on me and me alone. It’s been tough and it’s been lonely. I went today to the doctor to get my medication adjusted while I still have health insurance. Trying to deal with all of this AND having to quit smoking at the same time has been really hard for me. Been using the gum, but it just isn’t the same. I’ve been BORED as well. I guess I have too much time on my hands. Too much time to spend worrying about everything and so none of my normal activities seem interesting. Still, the new meds should help with that.

The vet called me this morning and told me my poor Colby still wasn’t eating and wanted me to bring him home to see if he would eat. The idea is that the hospital was stressful and home would be easier on him. So I went and picked him up and brought him home. First thing he did was get out of the pet taxi, walk into the kitchen and sniff at the food and water bowl. He still turned up his nose at it. So I got him a plate of canned food and MAN did he ever want it. He still didn’t eat a lot, but more than I’ve seen him eat in a week. He seems to be resting comfortably now and even my other cat is leaving him alone. Still the bill was on the high side of what they quoted me. Well, at least he didn’t have mesothelioma or something. That would have meant having him put down and I just don’t think I can do that. I’m going to keep a close eye on him the rest of the evening and see how he does.

It’s crazy what stress can do to your body. Over the last week and a half I have lost ten pounds then gained four of those back. My face has broken out and I’ve had to go back to using acne products on top of my regular face washing routine. The worst part, though, is that I’m having nightmares. See, I’m one of those people who almost never remember their dreams. However, when I do they are usually nightmares. I hate remember dreams because sometimes they screw with my sense of reality especially if people I know and/or are close to are in my dream. I do have an appointment with my psychiatrist next Wednesday to see if we should adjust any of my medication. AND I have another appointment with my therapist on Friday. I’m going to be JUST fine!
