As a kid I got a lot of ear infections. I almost always got them at Christmas. My doctor used to say it was the excitement that pushed the infections along. *shrug* Who knows. I just have many memories of being sick as a dog on or around Christmas. And guess what! This year was no different. Saturday I went to my brother’s house for our little family celebration. Just me, my kids, my brother, SIL, their kids and my mom. However, my SIL came down with something that morning. By late Sunday / early Monday I was SICK. Nothing like puking your guts up at 3:30 AM. I found out later that my Mom got sick at about the same time. I guess it’s just not Christmas if no one is sick.

Rain Go Away

Yeah, so maybe we need the rain, but it’s killing my sinuses. Everytime it rains or even just threatens the air pressure kills my sinuses. I am pretty sure I have another sinus infection. I’m hoping it isn’t as bad as the time I had to have surgery, but it feels the same. YUCK. I have an appointment on Monday. Sadly nothing I take gives me any relief. No Advil, Aleve, or even Sudafed will help. On top of that it has my sleeping all out of wack. I wake up with a swollen face every day now.

Ugh!

Oh I HATE being sick! Yesterday I thought I was starting on yet ANOTHER of my UTIs and then as the day went on my tummy just went south. I don’t know if it was the AZO I was taking or what. I still feel a bit ill today, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. If I wasn’t already 14 hours in the hole as far as sick time goes I’d have stayed home today. I really really need a vacation. I wonder if Westgate has anything interesting. I don’t know, I’d think I’d rather just spend a week at home, no muss no fuss. No having to pack or unpack or deal with the general public. Well, a girl can dream, right?

This has been such a long week. I hate being sick. I do feel a ton better, but I’m not QUITE 100% yet. I think the worst of this is the antibiotics and their side effects. Still, if I don’t take them then I won’t get better. You know, if I could stay in one of those luxury hotel rooms while I was sick it wouldn’t be so bad. Ha ha! Ok, maybe not, I’d really rather be feeling well if I were to go anywhere like that. But still, it’s Friday and once I get out of work I can go home and just relax and do nothing all weekend.

I know I have not posted a lot and I even missed my weigh in at One Weigh At A Time this week. I have a good excuse. I have been SICK! It’s offical, I have a sinus infection. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and I stayed home Wednesday to try and get over this. I was lucky and had someone VERY special to me take care of me. It’s been a million years since I had someone really take care of ME when I was sick. I am feeling ten times better today, but I’m still not 100%. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do here at work and online. I’ve got blogs to read and paid posts to, well post. (Though I think I may be getting out of that for a while. I just don’t have the time these days.) Anyway, I was REALLY sick, but I am better.
