I signed up at miniatures.com this week. I have always wanted to build dollhouses, but I have no clue how or where to start. I want to get some of the display boxes they have so I can start designing rooms and such. Like these:

One day I want a big dollhouse like this one. I have wanted one since I was a little girl and the one I got was made out of PLASTIC. I don’t mean plastic pieces, but like a placemat made for kids only in the shape of a dollhouse plastic. It was horrid and I hated it. I wanted a REAL doll house. Like the one in that book, King of the Dollhouse. Anyway. I am going to buy one of these one day! (As soon as I pay off that CC and the school that is…only $3500 more to go…)

Oh yeah, picture…

And check out the cool haunted house!

But there is so much about it that I don’t know! I need to find a magizine about them so I can start learning. I think it would be a fun hobby.

I made a dollhouse for kasi years ago. It was from a kit, but it took me months to paint and put together. She has it in her room, but it needs some fixing up. I would love to do another one for brandi, but the kits are so expensive. Not to mention the furniture for them…

We never really had a dollhouse per say, but we had lots of cool furniture. My Mom got it all from Germany, and its sooo cool! Little wood beds, chairs, tables, kitchen appliances, and even little boxes of food w/food in them! (like rice). I think Doll house are even better when we are older :)

Chris, I think the older we get the more we appreciate childhood.
