This weekend my daughter went to church with her new ‘friend’. Although I am not Christian, I didn’t mind in the least. I want her to make her own choices. As it turns out the boy is Greek Orthodox Catholic. It was quite the learning experience for her and I am proud of her for going. She did have a hard time trying to decide what to wear. I had to help her. We were not sure about the religious jewelry she was wearing, but we decided on a small silver necklace. When the boy came to get her he was wearing a suit and looked very nice. I have to admit I was a bit impressed.

Great that your daughter went to a Church. I am such a bad mother, the only one time my son went to church was when I was playing a small gig there (getting paid for it of course). and I hear the Greek churches are beautiful too. way cool :)

Chris, religion is rarely discussed in my house. I was raised Methodist and my husband was raised Baptist. I am personally Wiccan. But with my kids I try to teach them what I know and let them make their own decisions on what they believe. I’m just really glad she was willing to give it a try.

So how long have they been going out now? I hope she had a good time.

Grace, since her and the last one broke up, um, right before Christmas. It’s not ‘offical’ yet as far as I know…I guess she had a good time. She didn’t talk about it much.
