There are so many shows we’d like to see, but never know when they are on. Like last night I watched Ax Men on the history channel. If I had not just happened to turn on the TV at that moment I would never have known it was on. If we had a DVR we could record them and watch when we wanted.
However, I know nothing about HDMI switches, DVRs or anything else related to modern Television. I don’t even have premium cable channels like HBO or Showtime.
Any advice would be useful!

Would love to be able to give you a hand, but I get DVR through my dishnetwork. Love the DVR though, I even used it for the Super Bowl since the hubby had to work!
Annie’s last blog post..Annie Annie Bo Bannie…
Annie Annie Bo Bannie, I am finding that I may heve to sibscribe to a service. I think my brother uses TiVo so I;ll have to ask him when I get to feeling better. Thanks for the info!
We still record using VHS! But we do hae a HDTV and I know that in order to get HD shows you need a HDMI cable. We get our signal thru an outside anntena and it works fine. Our DVD player is also HD and you need HDMI cable for that too! If you go on Wiki, they have lost of info, good luck!

Patrick D.’s last blog post..Awesome Song And Video…
We have an HDTV, but not HD service or an HD DVD player. Go figure.
Thank’s Patrick, but I think we are going to go ahead and get TiVo.
We get our DVR through Bright House (our cable company) I LOVE it, but I wish I could tell you more about buying one, but I can’t. I don’t have Showtime, but since Dexter’s been running it’s first season (edited of course) on CBS…I’ve been DVRing it religiously (mainly because I’m the only one watching it) but I DVR Heros and movies that are on too late for me to stay up and watch…
Grace’s last blog post..I know it’s not April but…April is Autism Awareness Month
Grace, I looked at gettin git through our cable company, but we’d have to upgrade to digital $ then rent the box $, pay for the service $, THEN pay to have it installed $ $. Getting the TiVo is going to cost us much less. But thanks for the info!
