Good News – for a change

My friend Skeet has decided she has had ENOUGH of the bad news she see on TV or reads in the newspaper so she started a new meme. You can submit a post feature a good news story from your local area and each Thursday she will make a post of all the links. It’s great for linky loving all around!

After days of searching I finally found some good news. It was harder than you’d think!

Ken’s BBQ is located on Highway 79 in Birmingham. I pass it everyday on my ride to work. It is always packed first thing in the morning because Ken’s also serves breakfast. Their breakfast is the best! Almost as good as made from scratch in your own kitchen breakfast. A couple of months ago I noticed the place was empty in the morning. I asked my husband about it. There had been a fire in the kitchen. Now, I do not stop there in the morning, myself. My current desire to lose weight prevents me. But I was sad all the same. Now, how is this a good story? THEY ARE NOW OPEN! I drove by this morning and saw a parking lot full of cars and trucks. The community had pulled to gether to make sure their favourite breakfast spot knew they were not forgotten.
