I’m still not sure if I had a tummy bug or if the meds were making me feel crappy. Either way I physically feel better in the tummy.

The weekend was sort of hard for me to get through. I felt like my husband was more obsessed with getting the Sunfire running than he was interested in spending any time with me. But he is right, he does need to get it running so he can get a second job again. But since he wasn’t right by my side every moment I felt neglected. Sheesh. It’s not like I needed him to do anything like work on the shower faucets. He was being productive, how can I take that personally? Sometimes I hate how my head plays with my emotions.

Becca had a football game Friday night and a band competition on Saturday. (she’s a runner for the color guard, next year she’ll actually be in the band) they lost the game but made straight ones at the competition (which is a perfect score for those who dunno) and the dance team made Best in Class! She got to hold the trophy on the field. How exciting. Still, I didn’t get to see her until Sunday and I missed having her around the rest of the weekend.

Saturday night we did finally go to the state fair. It was not as much fun as I had hoped, but it could have been a lot worse. I refuse to ride those rides…they just don’t look safe! We did ride in the back of a monster truck, watched a pig race and a small circus act which consisted of a woman doing tricks with hula hoops and two guys in a “wheel of death” on motorcycles. It wasn’t a total loss and we got to spend some time together. Afterwards we went to his buddy’s house and watched the end of the Georgia/Alabama game. We’re not into football, but I figured since he went to the fair with me it was the least I could do to go to his buddy’s house with him.

I hate fair rides too. My kids get so mad, but like you, I just don’t think they are safe.

Okay now the Monster Truck thing would be totally cool! I have this love/hate relationship with them :) And spending the time w/your man at the State Fair sounds nice. I have not had a date in . . . um, lets not go there!

Don’t feel bad I don’t do those unsafe ride either. I have a problem with the food at the fair. I think its yummy! I would have to be pulled away.
