Well, I talked to my eldest daughter last night and told her what was going on and since my younger daughter probably doesn’t know this exists I guess it’s safe to spill the beans. My husband and I are separating. Yes, really. There was no big final blow out. No one is kicking anyone out (though I am sleeping in the girls room for now by choice). It was a rational decision between the two of us. I am moving out as soon as I can find an apartment. He is keeping the house since he makes more than me and after combing over our money he can afford to keep it. I have an appointment tomorrow at and another on Friday to look at some apartments. With the tight economy rent is less than I expected. The difference between the two places is about $90 and the cheaper of the two is 20 miles closer to work. I should be okay financially. I’m pretty good with numbers being in accounting and all.

I am actually looking forward to living on my own. I have never done it before. I think it will be good for me AND for him. He’s never lived alone either and I think it is something everyone should do at least for a while. I think that living on my own will prove to myself that I can take care of myself and really give a boost to my self confidence. Besides, living on a tight budget I will probably lose these last 40 pounds!! LOL!

Thank you all in advance for your comments. I do count each and every one of you as a wonderful friend. I don’t think I would have the strenght to get through this with out all of you! {big hugs}

I LOVE being single (but you know I have this strong dislike of marriage anyways!) You are going to be like SO very fine woman! It really is nice having a place of your own. You can put something someplace in the house and it doesnt move! heeheehee

    Chris, you mean dishes won’t suddenly appear in the sink (or more realistically all over the house) and money won’t go zipping out of the account without me knowing about it? I’m not sure if I can handle THAT! LOL thanks for your support. In a way I AM looking forward to it!

    well no wonder you’re under a lot of stress! but yes, i think everyone should try living alone for awhile if they never have (my ex still hasn’t!) to be honest, i enjoyed my singledom when my ex left. i didn’t have to answer to who? what? why? where? when? i could do whatever i wanted. then i ruined all that by getting married again LOL trust me, there are days when i wish i were single again lol i know you will do fine on your own. you seem to have a clear-minded start.

    chris says that you’ll have to work hard to stay happy, and that can be true, but know that your happiness all depends on you :) xo

    Chris! OMG – I didn’t realize…!

    It must be tough right now, but good for you for braving the way. I know it’s a scary prospect, but you know what you’re doing and why.

    I still remember when I made that choice years ago… just me and a 2 year old.

    *hugs*

    I was thinking something like this was happening to you. Not the best way to diet. Hang in there and life will get better. Sorry it took me so long to get over and read what is going on.
