Kitty Update

I’ve had just enough of watching my poor Colby be sick. He just isn’t the same. I called the vet tonight (they were open until 9). I now have an appointment at 9:30 in the morning. I was supposed to meet with an employment agency at that time, but I guess I’ll call them first thing and reschedule it. I did talk to a vet tech and he advised me to do whatever I could to get something in his system. Soft cat food, tuna, or just anything he’ll eat. At least he didn’t ask me to try one of those new humidifier filters since I just don’t have the money for that. I did also get a baby medicine syringe to see if I can get either some water or Pedialyte down him. When I got home he ate a bit of the new dry cat food, then I added tuna juice to it and he ate a bit more (tuna in water NOT oil). Finally I just flat out gave him the tuna and he ate some of that. Now, he hasn’t eaten as much as I’d like and he hasn’t even touched the water. Here in a few when I’m sure the food is staying down I’m going to try the water in the syringe. I’m much more worried about him having water than food. Now I was starting to get worried about my other cat, Sugar. But I moved their bowls into the living room so I could actually see what was going on and she is eating and drinking pretty normally. I’ll let you know what they say tomorrow.
